DOESL IPL LASER HAIR REMOVAL HURT? IS IT SAFE?
Most people describe our treatment as painless. However, each person has different sensitivity. You'll begin with a small test patch in the area you want to treat. If we feel that this treatment will not be safe or effective for your skin and hair type (generally recommended for lighter skin and darker hair,) we'll recommend another hair removal method. Our well-trained specialists operate FDA cleared machines that provide safe and effective treatment. The greatest risk during treatment occurs by not following the guidelines for safe treatment or failing to disclose medical information.
HOW MANY VISITS WILL I NEED?
You should plan on at least a year for treatment, on average. Most people will need 8-12 sessions for permanent results. You may see results as early as your first session or it may take you 5-6 visits to start seeing results. Hormonal areas (like back, bikini, and face) tend to take longer. Your Hair Removal Specialist (HRS) can start to update you on expected number of treatments after your mid-treatment review. But, keep in mind, every person is different and every area of your body is different.
IS IL LASER HAIR REMOVAL PERMANENT?
Most Baire members receiving treatment can expect 80-90% permanent hair reduction. IPL hair removal provides permanent relief from dealing with the day-to-day worries of unwanted hair. Any hair that does grow back will usually be lighter, finer and thinner. After completing treatment, clients may need to return 1 or 2 times a year for occasional touch-ups. Touch-ups are offered at a discounted rate for those that completed Baire IPL treatment.
HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY IPL LASER HAIR REMOVAL?

DOES IPL LASER WORK ON GREY/BLONDE/RED HAIR OR ON DARKER SKIN?
IPL laser hair removal works best on light skin with dark hair. It focuses heat on the melanin in the hair and carries it into the follicle. Hairs with minimal or no melanin will not be able to get long-term results. Darker skin may have increased chance of burning, with less effective results. We offer other services for areas, skin types or hair types that my not benefit from laser hair removal.
Our Baire BOOST treatment gives similar results to laser treatments, but doesn't carry the risks or need to avoid the sun.
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN IPL LASER HAIR REMOVAL AND TRADITIONAL LASERS?
Both provide similar results within a similar time-frame. Traditional laser is a focused beam of light, while IPL is a broader spectrum of wavelengths. Generally, if there’s any type of skin reaction during treatment it is more likely to be permanent with traditional laser. You may need one or two additional treatments with IPL over traditional laser. But, each person and each area will react differently. You may find that traditional laser did not work for you, but IPL laser could be highly effective. Most people feel that IPL is safer and much more comfortable.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF IPL LASER HAIR REMOVAL OVER WAXING OR OTHER TYPES OF HAIR REMOVAL?
IPL laser hair removal is much more comfortable than waxing, electrolysis, and even traditional laser. The cost is less than other technology methods. Although it may be slightly more expensive in the short-term, in the long run it will save you thousands of dollars over other hair removal options, like waxing.
IT’S MY FIRST TIME GETTING LASHES, WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
First, expect to LOVE them! It's so freeing to wake up and feel confident to face the world without make-up. Please come in with clean lashes. Plan on taking a break from the world (no phones) for at least an hour while the lashes are being applied. Don't plan on any exercise or activities that would get the lashes wet for 24 hours afterwards. For lash longevity, avoid using any oil based products or cleansers and apply Glad Lash Lock daily.
HOW CAN I PREVENT INGROWNS?
You have a lot of options to fight this battle. Start by ensuring you are working with an experienced waxing pro that uses high-quality wax and products. At home, you should exfoliate 3-4 days before your wax. After your wax, keep the area clean and dry. Using a natural ingrown hair serum, like Flawless, you will exfoliate with a type of salicylic acid regularly, alternating with a gentle, physical scrub like Baire Organic Scrub. Another great option? IPL laser hair removal! Why keep dealing with unwanted hair, when you can get rid of it for good.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I PLAN ON WAXING?
For most areas, you should have beautiful, smooth skin for 3-5 weeks. Most clients return every 4 weeks, but hair growth can very greatly. Your results could last as short as 2 1/2 weeks or as long as 6 weeks. Areas like brows, underarms and chin have a much shorter growth cycle and may need treatment every 10-14 days.
